About Us
World Without Worms Waterloo Chapter (WWW:WC) is a non-profit student based organization formed in 2012 by students currently studying at the University of Waterloo. WWW:WC was primarily established through the passion and determination of several University of Waterloo students who sought to leave an imprint on the world and provide aid to areas of the world that require assistance. With the initial World Without Worms organization generating efforts of over $16 000 (CAD); completely directed to school-based deworming projects in various areas of the world, our Chapter was established to stretch the vision by raising more awareness and money, and take World Without Worms to a whole new level.
All money raised through fundraising efforts will be directly sent to deworming programs overseen by Community Education Services Canada, an organization founded by local business, government, education and other community leaders who decided to do something to help out the poor children in Kenya. This is done by the technical assistance, coordination of the distribution of donated deworming drugs, and advocating for school-based deworming programs on local, national, and global levels.
Similar to World Without Worms, our Waterloo Chapter recruits passionate students currently studying at the University of Waterloo, along with individuals located in local Waterloo/Kitchener region that wish to help us raise awareness and money towards our cause.
World Without Worms is an organization that began with nothing, and has now reached over $16 000 Canadian in terms of fund-raised money. Passion takes one farther than anyone can ever imagine. At the World Without Worms Waterloo Chapter, we are using local efforts to create a global change. We have vision, motivation, and most importantly; determination. Let’s give a helping hand for the world that we all live in.
